why we do it.

I was playing with Audrey and Madeleine this morning under the fort they made yesterday with Heather and listening to iTunes. Awesome fun. We got out and started dancing and singing together and then a favorite song of mine came on. I used to hold Audrey when she was little and sing and dance with her in my arms to this song. I picked up Madeleine and started singing and Audrey wanted me to hold her as well. So I was standing in our play room Madeleine in my left arm and Audrey in my right. I was singing "I can only imagine" by MercyMe. I know that most of you should know that song it came out a few years ago and it makes me cry every time I hear it. I sing along every time and it gives me goose bumps just to think about what they are singing about. Madeleine was doing her best to sing along with me. We were spinning around and singing "I can only imagine, what it will be like, when I walk by your side. I can only imagine what my eyes will see when His face is before me." It was awesome holding on to them and watching them smile and laugh Audrey saying "this is funny" and then Madeleine saying "tis i unny" copying her sister.

That is why I do it. That is why I want to do what will allow me to spend the most amount of time with them. That is why I want to give them the world if I can. That is why I am willing to make sacrifices now so that I have the ability to give them whatever they want. Because I am happiest when they are happy.

Moments like those are what makes all of the work worthwhile.
